Apple Bacon Burger (Paleo, Whole30, AIP)

Itching for a good, juicy burger with flavorful toppings? Don't be left out when everyone else is eating their burgers. This apple bacon burger is everything. Sweet, salty, and amazing. Paleo, Whole30, AIP and gluten-free!

Ingredients
  

For the topping:

  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 1 large Apple (cored and sliced (peeling optional))

For the burgers:

  • 2 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet over medium heat cook the bacon and apples, stirring occasionally, until the bacon startsto get crispy and the apples are soft, approximately 10-15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mix the burger ingredients together in a large bowl. Form into 4-8 patties (depending onhow thick/big you want them). Heat a large cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium high heat onthe stove or a grill to medium.
  • Cook the patties, turning once, until desired doneness. about 3-4 minutes a side for the smallerpatties, 5-6 minutes a side for the larger ones.
  • Serve a scoopful of apple bacon mixture over each of the burger patties.
