Ingredients

  • 2 cups Mixed Berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1-2 tbsp Maple Syrup (or honey - optional (omit for Whole30 or use freshly squeezed orange juice instead))

Instructions

  • Put the berries and water into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then turn the heat down and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  • Once cooked, mash the berries with a fork until it’s the consistency you desire. Taste for sweetness and then add maple syrup, honey, or orange juice if you want a bit more sweetness.

Notes

You can also add a teaspoon of arrowroot powder for the last minute or so to thicken
it if desired.
